The Joy of Burning Leaves
HA KO are a series of elegant, leaf-shaped paper incense that can be enjoyed as potpourri, or burned like traditional incense. The leaves come in different aromas and can be differentiated by their shape.
This winter set is inspired by the season's beauty, which warms even the clear, cold air of winter. The set includes iconic winter leaves like holy and oak that are imbued with a combination of crisp and warm aromas.
As potpourri, the leaves emit subtle aromas that last for roughly 3 months. To burn them, simply place an a nonflammable plate, light and then extinguish. A small, nonflammable felt is included to make lighting easier. They'll slowly burn for 5 - 7 minutes as the aroma fills the room.

About
HA KO, a combination of the words ha (葉; leaf) and ko (香; incense) is produced by Kunjudo, a 120-year old maker of incense founded in 1893 on Awaji Island. The oldest record of incense in Japan can be found in The Nihon Shoki (日本書紀) where it states that aromatic wood drifted onto Awaji Island. Located in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, Awaji Island has preserved this tradition of incense and, for hundreds of years, continued to rethink it. Throughout their history, Kunjudo has created stable, high-quality incense by working with fragrance master and artisans.
