The Joy of Burning Leaves
HA KO are a series of elegant, leaf-shaped paper incense that can be enjoyed as potpourri, or burned like traditional incense. This special set comes with a handcrafted copper can whose lid doubles as a plate to light the incense. The copper can will not only keep your incense fresh throughout the seasons but it will also age beautifully, making it an ideal gift.
Elegant and sophisticated, HA KO Black is available in two different aromas:
Relax is inspired by a meditative walk through a forest engulfed in fog. Active aromas include Vetiver, which soothes tension, and Japanese Cypress and Bergamot, which help calm the nerves.
Focus is inspired by a gentle yet awakening breeze across a bight, sunny field of lemongrass. Active aromas include Lemongrass and Peppermint, which refreshingly stimulate the senses, and Clove and Geranium, which provide a mental uplift.
As potpourri, the leaves emit subtle aromas that last for roughly 3 months. To burn them, simply place in the can's lid, light and then extinguish. A small, nonflammable felt is included to make lighting easier. They'll slowly burn for 5 - 7 minutes as the aroma fills the room.

About
HA KO, a combination of the words ha (葉; leaf) and ko (香; incense) is produced by Kunjudo, a 120-year old maker of incense founded in 1893 on Awaji Island. The oldest record of incense in Japan can be found in The Nihon Shoki (日本書紀) where it states that aromatic wood drifted onto Awaji Island. Located in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, Awaji Island has preserved this tradition of incense and, for hundreds of years, continued to rethink it. Throughout their history, Kunjudo has created stable, high-quality incense by working with fragrance master and artisans.
